The Gods have fallen.
The Three Nations are in chaos.
Archon is coming.
The company are surrounded, trapped on the blood-soaked sands of Malevolent Cove. Desperate and alone, they carry with them the final hope of the Three Nations. Her name is Enala and she is the last wielder of the Sword of Light. But the girl is mad, her mind lost in a chasm of grief.
She lies helpless before the power of Archon.
Meanwhile, Eric is close to mastering his magic. But with his master gone, there is no one left to protect him from the perilous force. It yearns for freedom and Eric alone stands against it. If it breaks free, all hell will break loose. To prevail he must break the shackles of his past.

The book had a very nice story line. I’m just a little worried by the ending of this book. By killing two main characters in the last few pages, the main one in the “Epilogue” almost like an after thought. I’m hoping this series won’t become a George R.R. Martin main character slaughtering.

Hi Stephen, glad you liked the book! Not to worry, I won’t be going anywhere close to old Martin’s track record 😉 But the final death was important, as it sets up alot of the conflict in the coming book, Firestorm 🙂 I hope up have that out come June!

Really liked this book so far, just finished first book. Usually just read first bookin a trilogy, as are free, otherwise would spend only on books. Like stories about good overcoming evil. Could not stop at just one this time. Read fast, so hope conclusion is out soon.
